Yay!! Completed projects! It’s taken some time, but I’ve actually finished something!

First to be completed was my Florida Gators needlepoint, for my wall-o-travel. The gators were fun to stitch but the white background was b-o-r-i-n-g. On Saturday afternoon (5pm) I sat down and said “don’t let me get up until this is done.” My husband got a worried look on his face since we had plans to see a movie (10:10 showing of Oceans 13). Well, I wasn’t done at movie time, but I finished shortly after we got back home (1:30am).

That project completed, I tore into my Pirates cross stitch, part of my swap goodness from Ellia. I woke up bright and early (9am) and took my project to the comfy chairs outside and again, didn’t get up until I was done (12:30pm). What a fun way to spend a Sunday morning! It is now hanging in a place of honor, above my tv.

And now a preview of my next project, my 1976 canvas from my swap partner Ellia. As soon as I saw the canvas I had an idea of what I wanted to do with it. On Saturday, I made a trip to the needlepoint store to pull the fibers. As you can see, most of the colors are not in the canvas. Any idea what I have in mind? Well, I’m not going to tell, but it is really coming along! That was my Sunday afternoon project. I’ve a long way to go, buy I’m hoping to take some stuff to be framed next week, and I want this to be one of those projects I take in. I’d better get busy!
