Cubs Clinch! Clubs Clinch!
September 23, 2008
What a weekend! While doing lots of work around the house, I did have the Cubs game on and am I glad! The Cubs clinched the Central Division. The funny/ironic/annoying thing is that Bill and I had tickets to that game. We had sold them on Ebay because we had too much going on, but we could have been there… Ahh well. The most important thing is that they are the Central Division Champs!!
As for the house, we have been some much needed touching up, painting, minor repairs, etc. We have also been doing lots or purging. Not nearly enough, but it is getting there. It does feel good to “lighten the load”. It also makes it easier to get rid of stuff when you realize that someone could actually use it. Stuff that is just sitting around your house could be a treasure to someone else.
As good as it feels to be cleaning and fixing, I am looking forward to it being done. It is exhausting work. I am ready to just sit on my butt for a few weekends with a good book and/or some knitting. I could use some serious R&R. Soon…

About Me
Welcome to my spot on the web where I talk about needlework, crafts, and [many] other random things.
A few tidbits about me: I met my husband in college, flirting over tuba letters in the Penn Band. Our dog, CJ, and our cat, Sabrina, round out our family. I'm a sewist, knitter and needlepointer, and an occasional scrapbooker. I love organizing, reading, making jewelry, and hiking. A Chicago girl at heart, I am an avid follower the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.
You can email me at mlynapier [at] pobox [dot] com. Thank you for stopping by!
My Etsy Shop
